Bangladesh raised pending issues, including a demand for an apology for the 1971 war, with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday. However, there was disagreement with Dar’s views on these matters. Dar is the most senior Pakistani leader to visit Dhaka since 2012.
Ishaq Dar arrived in Dhaka on Saturday for a two-day visit. His aim is to improve relations with Bangladesh following the departure of Sheikh Hasina, who had been Prime Minister for a long time. Ishaq Dar held discussions with M. Touhid Hossain, Foreign Advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh.
