Army and International Experts Jointly Extract Victims from Trishuli Hydropower Projects

The Nepalese army has coordinated with technical teams from India, China, and South Korea to conduct search‑and‑rescue missions inside underground structures of multiple hydropower schemes along the Trishuli and Bhote‑Kosi rivers. On Friday, two Nepali nationals were rescued from the 60‑MW Upper Trishuli‑3A tunnel in Nuwakot. The collaborative effort aims to reach workers still trapped in the still‑water‑logged sites, where damage to dams, tunnels and other infrastructure remains extensive.
