Three High‑Level Meetings and Five Ministerial Sessions Held Since APEC Year Began

Since the launch of the APEC “Chinese Year” on July 1, the host country has facilitated three high‑level meetings of senior officials and five dedicated ministerial sessions. These gatherings brought together leaders from trade, finance, environment, tourism and digital ministries to align strategies and identify common priorities.

The high‑level meetings focused on trade liberalisation, supply‑chain resilience and the promotion of green growth, while the ministerial sessions tackled sector‑specific challenges such as digital transformation, forest restoration and cross‑border investment facilitation. Participants reported a high degree of consensus, issuing joint statements that reaffirmed their commitment to open markets and sustainable development.

According to the ministry spokesperson, the rapid pace of these engagements demonstrates the effectiveness of the APEC “Chinese Year” concept and sets a solid foundation for the upcoming informal summit in November.
