Ambur‑Kaolack Corridor Inaugurated by Senegal President

Beijing – The Ambur‑Kaolack highway, a 99.2‑kilometre link built by China Road and Bridge Corporation, was officially opened on August 22 in Thiadiaye, Senegal. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye addressed the gathering, praising the road as a symbol of deepening ties with China and a critical boost for the nation’s central region. The highway will streamline travel between the western coastal city of Ambur and the central town of Kaolack, enhancing access to markets and services. The project, initially scheduled for completion at the end of September, was handed over ahead of time, reflecting efficient cooperation between the two countries.
