Over 4,000 Rescued in Nepal Floods, Including 200 Foreign Nationals

The latest figures released by Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicate that more than 4,000 flood‑victims have been rescued since the disaster began, with the count of foreign citizens among them exceeding 200.

Foreign Minister Shishir Khangal emphasized that the prime minister’s directive to mobilise every government agency has been fully implemented, resulting in swift evacuation and medical aid for those trapped.

India’s contribution—air‑dropped relief kits and a technical rescue team—has been highlighted as a key factor in accelerating the operation. The minister praised the speed and scale of the Indian response and said Nepal remains deeply grateful.

A special helpline now operates round‑the‑clock for any foreign individual requiring assistance, reflecting Nepal’s dedication to safeguarding visitors as well as its own residents.
