The Union Home Minister Amit Shah (Home Minister Amit shah), addressing the border districts of Gujarat, Kutch, Banaskantha and Patan, about 150 sarpanches in the ‘Frontier Area Development 2020 Program’ organized in Tent City of Kutch said, “When I am earthquake in Kutch After Bhuj came in 2001, it was shabby. All places of residence were leveled. Now malls and buildings have been erected in such numbers. The purpose of this ‘Vikasotsav’ is to provide facilities to the residents of our border villages which are available in other inner villages. The civilians of the border are major stakeholders in maintaining security with our defense forces.

On the occasion of Deepawali, Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in his home state of Gujarat in the morning. Shah inaugurated an exhibition organized by the Border Security Force in Ghordo, Kutch. Home Minister Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will also inaugurate the Kutch Rann festival today. A 3 to 4 month Rann festival is celebrated in Kutch, Gujarat on the holiday of Deepawali. Countries from foreign countries reach to see the white Rann of Kutch.

During his visit, the Union Home Minister Shah will communicate with around 158 sarpanches of Patan, the border districts of Kutch, Gujarat. Shah will discuss facilities like education, health, roads etc. in the village and employment resources available in the village. About 103 sarpanches of the class alone will participate in this dialogue program of the Home Minister. Apart from this, sarpanches of Banaskantha and Patan will also be present here. In the afternoon, Home Minister Shah will go to visit the monastery of Ashapura Mata situated on the border of Kutch. Here, after the aarti and darshan of Mataji, Shah will participate in various celebrations of Rann festival. Shah and Rupani will inaugurate the Kutch Rann festival from today. Amit Shah will stay overnight in the tent city built here.
