The Xiaomi Mi A3 was previously reported to debut in India on August 23. But now Xiaomi has confirmed that it’s actually launching a couple of days earlier – on August 21, only a day after the Realme 5 series goes official.
The Mi A3 is a based on the Mi CC9e but runs stock Android and is a part of the Android One program. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC and sports a 6.01″ HD+ Super AMOLED display having a fingerprint scanner embedded in it.
For photography, the Mi A3 comes with a 32MP selfie camera and boasts a triple camera setup at the back comprising of a 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP depth sensor units. The smartphone packs a 4,030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
It’s unclear if Xiaomi will only launch the Mi A3 in India on August 21, or if it will also launch a rebadged Mi CC9 as the Mi A3 Pro at the event. We will know for sure next Wednesday.
