Vivo is on a launch spree. After launching the S1 Pro and U20 in the Philippines and India respectively, the company has launched yet another smartphone– Vivo V17– in Russia. The phone is essentially a rebranded version of Vivo S1 Pro that launched in the Philippines last week and is set to reach other markets soon.
The specs of the new Vivo V17 reveal that the phone comes with the same Snapdragon 665 chipset as inside the Vivo S1 Pro. It has 8GB RAM and 128gb of storage. The device sports a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels of resolution. It is fuelled by a 4500mAh battery and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Camera is the highlight of the Vivo V17 smartphone. The smartphone comes with a quad-camera set up at the back. Similar to the S1 Pro, a diamond-shaped camera module sits at the back of the phone and houses four camera sensors- 48MP main sensor, 8MP sensor for ultrawide shots, 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It comes with a 32MP selfie camera with gesture control feature. The smartphone is available in two colour variants – Cloudy Blue and Blue Fog.
The phone has been launched at 22,990 Russian Rubles which is roughly Rs 26,000. According to a GizmoChina report, if a buyer pre-orders the Vivo V17 in Russia before December 5, he or she will also get a Vivo Y11 smartphone for free.
Vivo last week launched the Vivo U20 in India. The smartphone comes in two variants- one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which costs Rs 10,990 and the other 6GB RAM with 64GB storage which comes at Rs 11,990. There are three cameras at the back- 16MP primary sensor with the support for night mode, 8MP sensor for Super wide-angle shots and 2MP camera lens for the macro shots. Upfront there is a 16MP camera sensor for selfies. The Vivo U20 comes with a 5000mAh battery which company claims can last for 273 hours of standby, 21 hours of Instagram usage, 17 hours of Facebook and 11 hours of YouTube in a single charge. The phone will be up for buying on Amazon and Vivo India E-Store from November 28.
