“Realme 6 is expected to come with MediaTek Helio G90 SoC, Realme UI and a large battery capacity”
After launching the Realme X50 Pro in India on Monday, Realme looks set to launch the Realme 6 series in the country soon. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth on Tuesday posted a photo of himself standing with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The photo was shot on Realme 6’s 64MP AI quad camera setup according to the watermark. This confirms the Realme 6 is set to launch in India soon, and that the smartphone will sport a high-resolution 64MP quad camera setup. The tweet mentioned “best of Entertainment World,” which could mean the Realme 6 could come with narrow bezels, content integration or a full-HD+ panel. Unfortunately, the tweet doesn’t reveal much about the handset.
Recently, the Realme 6 was spotted on Flipkart in India, suggesting the launch could be right around the corner. The Wi-Fi Alliance listing revealed the handset would be the first to ship with MediaTek Helio G90 processor. It is also expected to launch with Android 10-based Realme UI and dual-band Wi-Fi support. The Helio G90 chipset is equipped with MediaTek’s HyperEngine that is said to improve gaming and performance. It includes Networking Engine and the ability to connect to both Wi-Fi bands.
Once again, the highlight of the Realme 6 is expected to be its quad camera setup. The smartphone will feature a 64MP main sensor, which would be a significant bump over the 12MP sensor on the Realme 5. The quad-camera setup could also include an ultra-wide-angle lens, a macro lens and a depth sensor for portrait shots, but this is mere speculation for now. The smartphone is also expected to feature a traditional fingerprint sensor for security and USB Type-C port for connectivity.
The Realme 6 is likely to have fast-charging support and a large battery capacity. As for the pricing, the handset could be priced around Rs 10,000, which is in-line with the cost of earlier models in the series. In addition to the Realme 6, the company could also announce the Realme 6 Pro and Realme 6i in the future, much like it did with the Realme 5 series.
