Honor 9X , Magic Watch 2 set for January 2020 India launch, Magic Book laptops also coming to the country


Huawe’s sub-brand Honor views India as one of its most important markets and as such already appears set for a busy 2020 in the country. Huawei has confirmed that it will launch the Honor 9X and the Magic Watch 2 in India next month.

The company had launched the two devices earlier in the year in China. While the Magic Watch 2 is expected to come as is, there is, however, some confusion regarding the form in which the Honor 9X comes to India.

There is little clarity on whether Honor will launch the Chinese variant in India or instead go with the global version basically the 9X Pro with the Kirin 710F SoC and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader instead of a side-mounted one.

Honor 9X specifications

Honor 9X sports a 6.59-inch OLED display and could be powered by a new Kirin 710F SoC chipset. It could bring with it a triple camera set-up including a 48-megapixel primary lens paired to a 2-megapixel secondary and 8-megapixel lens to complete the triple camera setup. The phone will also feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera for clicking selfies. It will house a 4,000mAh battery and support fast charging.

Magic Watch 2

The Magic Watch 2 comes with 1.39-inch full-color AMOLED touchscreen and it provides 4GB internal storage of which 2GB can be used for music storage. It supports 15 goal-based fitness modes and comes with a number of health tracking features. Honor says that the TruSleep 2.0 technology in the smartwatch can precisely diagnose 6 common types of sleep disorders.

It can also detect the users’ stress level and help them relax using HUAWEI’s TruRelax technology. It is water resistance up to 50 meters and it comes in two sizes – 46mm, which is priced at 189 (Rs 14,852 approx) and 42mm, which is priced at 179 (Rs 14,000 approx) respectively.

Honor MagicBook laptops also coming to India

Apartt from this, Honor’s President of Overseas marketing and Sales, James Zou has confirmed that the company will also be bringing the Honor MagicBook series to India in 2020. According to a report published by PTI, the laptops are reported to be launched globally and in India in the first quarter of 2020. The Honor MagicBook series come with both Intel and AMD processors.
