Unified Health Interface Introduced to Connect Patients and Providers

The Health Ministry also launched the Unified Health Interface (UHI), an interoperable network that sits on top of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission service layer. UHI acts as an open gateway, enabling patients to discover health services across multiple digital applications without being locked into a single app.

When a user searches for a service through a UHI‑enabled app, the request is routed via a gateway to registered service providers, ensuring smooth, real‑time matchmaking. This approach promotes competition, encourages innovation and expands choice for citizens while maintaining data security and privacy.
