Ultra‑Rich Concentration Accelerates as AI Investments Pay Off

NEW DELHI, Sept 5 — The gap between the ultra‑wealthy and the rest of the billionaire community has widened dramatically in 2025, driven by AI‑centric investments. The wealth‑intelligence firm’s report notes that 29 individuals now hold more than $50 billion each, together accounting for $4.1 trillion – roughly 27 % of global billionaire wealth.

A decade earlier, only ten people surpassed the $50 billion threshold, representing just 7.2 % of total billionaire assets. The rapid rise reflects the outsized returns generated by technology and AI stocks, which have also lifted overall billionaire fortunes to a record $15.1 trillion.

Experts cautioned that this growing concentration could amplify market risks, especially if the AI sector encounters regulatory or performance challenges.
