UAE Investors Eye Indian Maritime, Space and Startup Sectors as CEPA Gains Momentum
The minister said UAE interest is expanding beyond traditional energy projects into emerging fields such as India’s space programmes, the vibrant startup ecosystem, port development, shipbuilding and even equity participation in Indian stock markets.
He explained that these sectors are attracting attention because of India’s reform‑driven policies and rapid economic expansion, which together create a fertile environment for foreign capital. Goyal stressed that closer collaboration in these high‑growth areas could widen the scope of economic cooperation between the two countries.
The push for deeper engagement aligns with the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s May 2026 visit to the UAE, where agreements on crude oil storage, strategic petroleum reserves, LNG and LPG infrastructure, and long‑term LPG supply were sealed.
