Satellite Service Licences Granted to Three Firms, Security Clearance Pending

State Communications Minister Chandrashekhar Pemmasoni confirmed that the Department of Telecommunications has issued temporary approvals for spectrum and licensing to all three satellite broadband providers. However, final clearance depends on a security assessment by the Home Ministry. "The pending approval is purely a security matter, not a favour to any company," Pemmasoni said.
