For long‑term readiness, Singh said India must master key technologies and achieve deeper self‑reliance across the entire defence manufacturing ecosystem. He pointed to the need for a robust domestic supply chain that can deliver critical parts such as propulsion systems, avionics and advanced composites. The minister warned that without such capabilities, the country remains vulnerable to geopolitical pressures. He praised the recent structural reforms that have modernised the defence procurement process, allowing faster induction of indigenously built platforms. "We are not just meeting current needs; we are building for the future," Singh declared.
