State‑wise Progress of National High‑Speed Corridors Revealed in Parliament

During a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways shared detailed statistics on the National High‑Speed Corridor programme. A total of 10,389 kilometres have been allotted, with 4,809 kilometres already operational.

Rajasthan leads with 1,340 kilometres of projects, of which 1,192 kilometres are completed and 148 kilometres are ongoing. Punjab has 923 kilometres assigned, with construction active on 774 kilometres. In Andhra Pradesh, 893 kilometres are allocated; 308 kilometres are finished while 585 kilometres remain under work.

Uttar Pradesh reports 884 kilometres allocated, 388 kilometres completed and 496 kilometres in progress. Haryana’s 839 kilometres show 615 kilometres completed, and Gujarat has finished 605 kilometres out of 764 kilometres allocated.

The Ministry emphasised that a synchronized monitoring framework, involving central, state and project teams, ensures real‑time tracking. Streamlined land acquisition through the “Bhoomi Rashi” portal, GIS‑based mapping, and faster environmental clearances via the upgraded “Parivesh” portal are pivotal to maintaining the programme’s speed.

Further, an online mechanism for General Arrangement Drawings of railway over‑ and under‑bridges has been introduced, and regular review meetings with state officials help resolve any emerging issues promptly.
