Skyroot’s Vikram‑1 Test Flight Places Payloads at 450 km Low‑Earth Orbit

Vikram‑1’s test flight was designed to carry up to 350 kg of payload into a 60‑degree inclined low‑Earth orbit at 450 km. The launch vehicle featured three solid‑fuel stages and a liquid orbital adjustment module. After stage separations, the payload fairing was jettisoned and the satellites were deployed into the designated orbit, marking the first private Indian payloads to reach space.
The customer payloads included Skyroot’s own Scout satellite, a technology‑demonstration unit from Dequbed, a solar‑energy satellite from GrahSpace, and a robotic arm called “Imbress” from Cosmoserv Space designed for orbital debris removal.
