Precision Medicine in India: Role of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Genomics

Dr. Singh illustrated how two patients with the same disease may receive entirely different therapies because of differences in gene profiles, diet, lifestyle and environmental exposure. The concept of precision medicine, he said, is being built on massive genomic datasets combined with AI-driven pattern recognition. Robotics will support this model by delivering targeted interventions, from minimally invasive surgeries to automated drug‑delivery systems. The minister called for a national framework that integrates genomic data, AI decision‑support tools and robotic platforms to ensure that each Indian can benefit from treatments designed for their unique biological signature.
