PLI Schemes Boost Production, Exports and Jobs, Says Trade Minister

The Production‑Linked Incentive (PLI) programmes have delivered tangible results, according to the minister. By March 31, 2026, investments under PLI amounted to ₹2.40 lakh‑crore, with production and sales crossing ₹23.8 lakh‑crore and exports reaching ₹15.2 lakh‑crore. More than 1.46 million direct and indirect jobs have been generated, especially in electronics, telecom, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automobiles, IT hardware and specialty steel.
