Mobile number portability applications hit 15.83 million in August

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reported that 15.83 million consumers filed applications for mobile number portability (MNP) during August. At the same time, the count of active wireless (mobile) connections, as recorded in the Peak Visitor Location Register, stood at 1,207.59 million.
