Massive Open-Access Database Holds 185k Records of Advanced Alloys

The IIT Madras team has made publicly available a comprehensive alloy repository that exceeds 185,000 entries, making it the biggest multi‑component alloy database worldwide. Each record includes detailed information on elemental makeup, manufacturing steps, testing environments and a suite of over 350 measured properties. By providing free access, the platform enables scientists worldwide to compare past experiments, avoid duplication, and focus resources on promising material candidates that also satisfy sustainability goals.
