Launch Facility in Vermilion Parish Set to Become World’s Largest Daily Starship Hub

The new SpaceX launch site in Vermilion Parish has been described as the future centerpiece of United States space operations. With an investment of $100 billion, the complex will feature a series of launch towers capable of sustaining a launch cadence of more than 30 Starship missions each day. The high‑frequency capability is designed to support thousands of launches annually, dramatically expanding the nation’s access to orbit. Officials from the Louisiana Economic Development agency say the project will generate a combined total of over 11,100 jobs, including 3,000 well‑paid direct positions. The infrastructure is expected to be ready for full‑scale operations within ten years, positioning the state as a leading aerospace hub.
