J&K Power’s subsidiary JSW Energy and Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation have formed a joint venture to develop the 920‑MW Punatsangchhu‑III hydro‑electric project, with DGP C holding 51 % and JSW Energy 49 %. In parallel, the Export‑Import Bank of India has activated a ₹4,000 crore umbrella loan facility to finance new renewable‑energy projects in Bhutan, underscoring a shared push toward clean power generation.
