IndiGo Leads Indian Skies with 91% On‑time Performance

IndiGo retained its position as the leading domestic carrier in India for August, transporting 7.887 million passengers and holding a 65% market share, slightly down from July's 67.4%.

The airline also delivered the highest on‑time performance among major carriers, achieving a punctuality rate of 91% according to DGCA data. Akasa Air followed closely with 90.5% on‑time arrivals, while Air India Group recorded 83.9%.

These punctuality figures come against a backdrop of a 6.34% contraction in overall domestic passenger traffic, signaling that airlines are focusing on reliability even as demand softens.
