Indian GDP Expected at 7.3% in Second Quarter, Ministry Says
According to a non‑forecasting model presented in the Monthly Economic Review, the actual GDP growth for the July‑September quarter of FY2026‑27 is projected at 7.3 percent. The estimate reflects continued strength in the manufacturing, construction and services blocks, as well as a record‑high investment rate. Export performance has also picked up, with the first five months of the fiscal year delivering roughly $400 billion in export value, pointing toward a potential $1 trillion tally by the end of the year. The ministry credits free‑trade agreements for opening new markets for Indian products and notes that domestic energy prices have been insulated from volatile international oil markets, limiting their impact on overall inflation.
