Indian Engineering Shipments Reach $12.32 Billion, Up 25% YoY

India’s engineering sector posted a $12.32 billion export total in August, up nearly a quarter from August 2023. The United States accounted for $2.20 billion, reflecting a 31% rise, while China’s share grew to $424.65 million, a 75% surge. The United Kingdom’s imports rose 28.6%, South Korea’s shipments more than doubled to $466 million, and Indonesia’s purchases surged 182% to $292.30 million. Oman’s imports quadrupled to $198 million, helped by the India‑Oman FTA that took effect in June 2026.
