Semiconductor and auto component regulations to be overhauled in India within two months

During a special dialogue with Nikkei Asia in Tokyo, Minister Goyal pledged that the Indian government will introduce new regulatory measures for the semiconductor and auto‑component manufacturing sectors within the next 60 days. Several global manufacturers have expressed interest in setting up production units in India but have raised policy and licensing concerns.

Goyal assured industry delegates that the upcoming rule changes will address those issues, smoothing the path for foreign investment and ensuring that companies face no undue hurdles while establishing factories on Indian soil.
