IEI Summit Highlights Role of Engineers in Nation’s Global Footprint

The theme of the summit – “Engineering India’s Global Footprint: Technology, Talent and Trust” – underscored the pivotal role engineers play in shaping India’s international reputation. Singh praised the country’s ability to deliver large‑scale infrastructure while also maintaining existing assets. He pointed to the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as a flagship engineering success, noting its underlying advanced systems such as interoperability, distributed architecture, real‑time processing, cybersecurity and massive digital infrastructure.
