Rajasthan is gearing up for a landmark event as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates HPCL’s groundbreaking integrated refinery and petrochemical hub in Balotra’s Pachpadra on April 21. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma shared the exciting news from a review session at his office, underscoring the facility’s transformative impact on the state’s economy.

This state-of-the-art complex will refine 1.5-2.5 million tonnes of Rajasthan crude alongside 6.5-7.5 million tonnes of imports annually. LPG production is already in full swing, with petrol, diesel, and advanced petrochemicals like HDPE, LLDPE, polypropylene, benzene, toluene, and butadiene set to follow. These outputs promise to supercharge sectors from automotive to consumer goods packaging.

Sharma stressed the refinery’s contribution to Atmanirbhar Bharat by curbing petrochemical imports, bolstering energy security, and generating thousands of employment avenues. The PM’s itinerary includes a massive public address and launching LPG tanker dispatches.

Meticulous preparations are in motion: comprehensive logistics for crowds, uninterrupted utilities, robust healthcare setups, traffic coordination between police and transport departments, ample parking, and airtight security. Environmental initiatives like on-site afforestation add a green touch.

At Rs 79,459 crore, this 4,400-acre behemoth positions Rajasthan and India to meet soaring energy demands efficiently. Top bureaucrats reviewed every detail to make the inauguration an unforgettable milestone.
