High‑Speed Rail Alignment Study Ongoing, No Legal Land Seizure Yet

A clarification from the centre clarified that the high‑speed rail proposals involving Hyderabad are still in the alignment‑study phase. No demand for land acquisition has been sent to the Telangana or neighboring state governments.

The Railway Minister, after discussions in the capital, confirmed that any land acquisition before the route is finalised would be unlawful. The study will determine the precise corridors, after which detailed briefings will be shared with state officials and affected farmers.
