Gujarat Citizens Now Access Government Services With Single Clicks
Gandhinagar, October 26: Gujarat is strengthening its e-governance framework to deliver government schemes and services to citizens online. Working under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government's Mari Yojana portal is gaining attention for simplifying access to public services.
The platform hosts more than 600 schemes across departments such as social welfare, education, agriculture, animal husbandry, sports, health, local administration, women's development, rural development, revenue, and employment. Citizens can now receive government benefits from home, without making repeated trips to offices. This approach is also helping people save both time and money.
Beneficiary Girish Nilgiri shared that the process under the scheme is very simple. He said the availability of widow pension and income certificates online has made things easier. Senior citizen certificates are also processed here quickly, he added.
Another beneficiary, Tushar Kumar Patel, said the online services have brought a strong response and reduced waiting time. He noted that obtaining life certificates has become much more convenient.
Citizens can also obtain birth and death certificates, permanent residence certificates, caste certificates, and pension and scholarship services without visiting different departments. All of these are available with a single click.
MD Gohel, Executive Magistrate and Mamlatdar of Gandhinagar, said the Mari Yojana portal is a digital platform that deserves appreciation. He said it houses more than 680 services, including government schemes from the education, social welfare, animal husbandry, and agriculture departments, all on one platform. Residents can learn about these schemes with a single click.
The core purpose of the portal is to make government procedures more accessible, transparent, and time-efficient. Previously, citizens spent considerable time submitting applications, collecting information about required documents, and checking the status of their applications. Now, the Mari Yojana portal enables all these processes to be completed online, offering citizens an easier path to government services.
