The Ministry of MSME reports that it has released over ₹913 crore in grants to help small and medium enterprises transition to zero‑defect, zero‑effect production.
Eligible firms receive up to 75% reimbursement for certification expenses, a maximum of ₹50,000 for testing, ₹2 lakh for consultancy and hand‑holding, and up to ₹3 lakh for clean‑technology adoption.
Twenty‑two state and union territory governments have incorporated the JED framework into their industrial policies, offering additional incentives to certified units.
Such financial backing aims to drive higher product quality, reduce environmental impact, and ultimately raise the global competitiveness of Indian MSMEs.
