Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 now available for pre‑order in India

On Thursday, Samsung confirmed that Indian consumers can pre‑order its latest foldable phones: the Galaxy Z Fold8, the Fold8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip8. The lineup emphasizes AI‑driven productivity tools, a slimmer form factor and enhanced durability.

Leveraging seven generations of foldable engineering, the devices incorporate Samsung’s Galaxy AI alongside Gemini Intelligence, allowing seamless app navigation and fortified privacy settings.

The Fold8 Ultra is positioned as the flagship. It is sold in three configurations: 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage for ₹1,99,999, 12 GB/512 GB for ₹2,19,999 and 16 GB/1 TB for ₹2,59,999. Colour options include graphite, cream and violet‑shadow, while a green‑shadow variant is exclusive to online shoppers.

The regular Fold8 starts at ₹1,79,999. Higher specifications are priced at ₹1,99,999 for 12 GB/512 GB and ₹2,39,999 for the 16 GB/1 TB model. It comes in graphite, cream and lavender shades, with pistachio offered only via e‑commerce.

The Flip8 is priced at ₹1,24,999 for the 12 GB/256 GB version and ₹1,44,999 for the 12 GB/512 GB version. Available colours are graphite, cream and pink, plus a mint hue limited to online sales.

JB Park, Samsung’s President and CEO for South‑West Asia, said the strong market response to foldables over the past seven years validates Samsung’s leadership. He added that customers appreciate the distinct design language and the personalised Galaxy AI experience, which together enhance both work and leisure activities.

Key hardware highlights of the Fold8 include a 201‑gram weight – making it the lightest Z Fold yet – and a 4,800 mAh battery. The phone features a flex‑titanium display structure to reduce crease visibility, a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits, a dual 50 MP camera system, dual‑recording capability and the My FanCam utility.
