Fronx Export Surge Shows Global Demand for Make‑in‑India SUVs

Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx has recorded an unprecedented export surge, achieving 200,000 units shipped in less than 38 months. The SUV’s popularity abroad reflects a strong preference for cost‑effective, Indian‑made vehicles. Export operations began in June 2023, and the model swiftly passed the 100,000 unit mark within 25 months, followed by another 100,000 in just 13 months. Today the Fronx serves around 90 countries, positioning it among India’s most successful exported passenger cars and highlighting the competitiveness of Indian manufacturing on the world stage.
