EOS‑05 Marks India's First Dedicated Imaging Satellite in Geostationary Orbit

EOS‑05, launched aboard GSLV‑F17, is the inaugural dedicated imaging satellite positioned in a geostationary orbit for India. The satellite will enhance the nation’s ability to monitor weather patterns, manage disasters, and support developmental planning.

Science and Technology Minister Pawan Kalyan described the mission as a new milestone in India’s journey from Earth to the stars. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for propelling the space program to new heights and inspiring the country’s youth.

Kalyan extended heartfelt congratulations to ISRO’s scientists, engineers, technicians, and all personnel involved in the historic flight.
