Ease of Doing Business reforms cut compliance burdens

Abhijit Singh, national programme director for the Ease of Doing Business initiative and project director at NHEV, highlighted that the IMEC corridor is a cornerstone of Prime Minister Modi’s vision to turn India into a transshipment powerhouse. By linking key eastern and western ports such as Kandla, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust and Mundra with Gulf hubs like Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi, the corridor will expand India’s strategic role in maritime trade and attract more container traffic through its shores.
