Diversified Energy and Trade Agreements Strengthen India's Autonomy

India is pursuing self‑sufficiency by coupling defence indigenisation with millet promotion and energy diversification. Defence output is now five‑fold higher than in 2014, and exports have grown about fifty times. Millets like bajra, jowar and ragi command higher prices (15‑25 % up) thanks to new trade pacts. Energy policy stresses expanding E20 ethanol blends and accelerating solar, wind, hydrogen and nuclear projects to create a robust, multi‑source mix.
