Domestic Institutional Buying Offsets Foreign Outflows as Markets Slip

Despite the sustained foreign outflow, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) continued to buy, posting a net purchase of 16,398 crore rupees during the week. Cumulatively, FIIs have sold 18,531 crore rupees this month, while DIIs have accumulated net purchases of 52,617 crore rupees. The DII buying helped contain the market decline, keeping the Nifty roughly 3.9 percent below its late‑August level.
