The inspection of Jaika Organics’ processing plant uncovered widespread sanitation failures, including unclean manufacturing, packaging and storage conditions, inadequate pest control, corroded equipment, and improper handling of raw materials and finished goods. Critical product information such as manufacturing date, batch number and expiry date were missing on several items.
The company scored merely 10 out of 90 points – a 12 percent compliance rating – placing it in the non‑compliance category. Given the potential for physical, chemical and biological hazards, the FSSAI moved to suspend the licence immediately to safeguard public health.
