Compressed Biogas Production to Increase Tenfold by 2036

The Gobardhan scheme sets an ambitious target: to increase compressed biogas output ten‑fold within the next ten years. More than 1,900 CBG/bio‑CNG plants are registered, with 217 already operational producing roughly 0.4 million standard cubic metres per day. An additional 339 plants are under construction, promising rapid capacity expansion and rural employment.
