Commercial electric vehicles triple sales to 4,702 units in August

The commercial electric vehicle (EV) segment emerged as the fastest‑growing category, with sales soaring to 4,702 units in August 2026 – almost three times the 1,631 units logged in August 2025. Its market share rose to 5.18% from 2.06% a year earlier. Tata Motors led the segment with 1,416 units, while Yulor Motors and Saini Heavy Industry followed with 849 and 605 units respectively. This rapid growth highlights a shift from pilot projects to concrete fleet‑electrification decisions.
