Combined infrastructure projects aim to boost rail efficiency and road safety

Both projects are part of a broader push to strengthen railway infrastructure and improve multimodal connectivity. The electric traction upgrade will increase the reliability of the South Coast Railway’s high‑traffic route, while the four‑lane ROB will feature a 311.58‑metre viaduct costing about Rs 19.98 crore and a 524.32‑metre railway approach estimated at Rs 10.25 crore. Together, they are expected to deliver smoother train schedules and safer road movement for commuters.
