The CMF Buds 2, a sub-brand of Nothing, have garnered attention in the budget technology sector since its launch in 2023. These earbuds, priced at Rs 2,699 (approximately $60 worldwide), boast features such as 48 dB hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Dirac Opteo tuning, and a battery life of 25 hours. Positioned between the more affordable Buds 2a and the premium Buds 2 Plus in CMF’s TWS lineup, they aim to compete in the sub-$80 market. The design includes a compact, square charging case and IP55 water and dust resistance for the earbuds themselves. The sound profile is characterized by deep bass, enhanced by the Dirac Opteo tuning. The Nothing X app allows for customization with a three-band EQ, Ultra Bass 2.0, and Dirac Opteo presets. Connectivity is managed via Bluetooth 5.4, offering dual-device pairing, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair, though occasional device reboots are required for dual-connection stability. The CMF Buds 2 also offer good call quality with six HD microphones and Clear Voice Technology 3.0. Battery performance is a highlight, providing up to 13.5 hours of playback per bud without ANC and 30 hours with the charging case, and up to 8.5 hours with ANC turned on.
