Tamil Nadu’s industrial landscape received a major boost as Chief Minister MK Stalin officially opened the Tata Motors-Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing unit in Ranipet. The event, held on Monday, spotlighted the state’s ascent as an international auto manufacturing powerhouse.
In his keynote speech, Stalin celebrated Tata’s storied legacy and its deep-rooted ties with Tamil Nadu. From pioneering steel production to revolutionizing IT and aviation, Tata has etched its name across diverse sectors. ‘The Tata brand symbolizes excellence and reliability on a global scale,’ the CM affirmed.
Tamil Nadu leads India’s auto sector and is rapidly becoming the go-to destination for EV manufacturing, thanks to its industrial heritage. Stalin described the new plant as a badge of honor, one that will churn out premium Jaguars and the globally acclaimed Range Rover right here in Ranipet.
‘This isn’t just a factory; it’s a testament to our ability to build for international markets,’ Stalin stated. He highlighted the Dravidian governance model’s focus on equitable growth, social equity, and female empowerment, setting Tamil Nadu apart. Commending Minister TRB Raja’s efficiency, he noted that true progress lies in turning investments into reality swiftly.
Gratitude flowed towards Tata Chairman N. Chandrasekaran, with Stalin inviting more ventures. Boasting world-class infrastructure, industrial harmony, and talented manpower, Tamil Nadu promises unparalleled support. ‘We aim to be Tata’s preferred investment destination,’ he concluded, envisioning a brighter industrial future.
