Centre Reports Normal Fuel Supply, 17.2 Million LPG Cylinders Delivered

Despite mounting international uncertainties, India’s fuel distribution network is functioning without interruption. The Petroleum Ministry announced that 17.2 million LPG cylinders were delivered in just four days, while 16.6 million new bookings were recorded during the same period. Briefing journalists in the capital, officials underlined that domestic households continue to receive top priority. They noted that digital booking has now reached 99 percent, and the Delivery Authentication Code mechanism has achieved 95 percent coverage, significantly reducing the scope for black marketing. Commercial LPG supplies have been increased to around 70 percent of earlier levels, supplemented by a 10 percent additional quota. Sales data shows 24,557 metric tonnes of commercial LPG moved in four days, along with 942 metric tonnes of auto LPG. The government is also pushing smaller 5 kg cylinders. In the last four days, 196,000 units were sold. Since early April 2026, 15,400 awareness camps have helped distribute over 245,000 such cylinders across the country. No LPG distributor has reported stock-outs, and the administration says it will maintain this steady supply through continued monitoring and strategic allocation.
