BEL to Manufacture Japanese‑Designed Unified Complex Radio Antenna

As part of the bilateral agreement, BEL will take charge of producing the Unicorn mast in India, leveraging Japan’s design and core technology. The Indian version will incorporate domestically developed sensors and antennas, tailoring the system for deployment on Indian warships.

The upgraded mast is expected to replace existing communication and sensor mast setups across the fleet, offering a modern, compact solution that improves operational capability and survivability in contested environments.
