APS EZ’s Record Monthly Volume Boosts Path to 100 Crore Tonnes Goal
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) announced that August 2026 delivered a record 5 crore metric tonnes of cargo, a 19 percent year‑over‑year increase. This milestone is the largest monthly cargo volume the company has ever recorded, showcasing the growing capacity of its national and international ports.
Dry bulk shipments surged 25 percent while container traffic grew 15 percent, driven largely by the firm’s transshipment strategy at Vizag and Colombo. These figures have propelled APSEZ’s year‑to‑date cargo handling to 23.44 crore tonnes, 16 percent higher than the same period last year.
Management said the performance accelerates progress toward its FY 2031 objective of processing 100 crore tonnes of cargo annually, positioning the group as a leading logistics player in India and beyond.
