APEDA Supports FPO‑Led Frozen Food Export, Expanding Global Market Access

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported that APEDA’s intervention allowed an FPO‑driven export of frozen food products amounting to 24 MT from Haryana’s Sonipat to Canada. The consignment, worth CAD 35,140, contains 2,295 crates of green peas, mixed veg, peas‑carrot blends, sweet corn and samosas, shipped by Aterna Foods Producer Company Limited. This initiative reflects a broader strategy to create export‑oriented value chains, connect farmer producer organisations with international buyers, and improve earnings for Indian cultivators. APEDA continues to foster linkages between market access programmes and export opportunities for FPOs and exporters.
