Air India’s New Leadership Focuses on Safety, Trust and Cost Discipline

Chairman N. Chandrasekharan used the same town‑hall session to reiterate the airline’s next‑stage priorities. He said Air India will concentrate on safety, regaining customer confidence, operational excellence and stringent cost management.

He emphasized that the airline has weathered an “extremely tough” 18‑month period marked by geopolitical unrest, air‑space closures, volatile fuel prices and the tragic AI‑171 crash. Safety, he noted, is not a slogan but a daily practice, backed by strict compliance, world‑class processes and personal accountability throughout the organization.
