AIIB 2026 Annual Meeting Highlights India-Jordan Trade Prospects

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s 11th annual session in Doha provided a strategic backdrop for India and Jordan to map out enhanced economic cooperation. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Jordan’s planning minister Jeina Zaid Toukan exchanged views on expanding market access for Indian fertilizers, agro‑products and technology solutions, while Jordan signaled interest in Indian investment for water management and renewable‑energy projects. Both governments committed to a coordinated approach that could push bilateral trade volumes toward the $5 billion target set for the end of the decade.
